What is Ping?
Ping is a network diagnostic tool that tests connectivity between two hosts by attempting to establish a TCP connection and measuring the round-trip time (RTT) in milliseconds. A low RTT indicates a fast, responsive connection; failure to connect indicates the host is offline, blocking connections, or unreachable. Network administrators use ping to verify that servers and services are accessible, diagnose connectivity issues, and measure network latency. Our tool tests ports 443 (HTTPS) and 80 (HTTP) to determine reachability.
